New Tracker for WinD Fansubs

Well, since some of you haven't heard yet, scarywater, which has served as our tracker since WinD's inception, is going down on 12 Mar 2010. Because we really want you to keep downloading our torrents, we have migrated all of our releases to nyaa's wonderful tracker which will most likely be around for quite a long time. The good thing about this is that nyaa doesn't care if the release is licensed in North America or not (like mxs - the owner of scarywater did). This means that if one of our releases becomes licensed, we won't be forced to remove it from the tracker.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai 11 & 12 (DVD)

In other news, now that we can put this project behind us we'll try and get some momentum going for those middle episodes of Kai we're missing as well as the typeset horror known as Hidamari Sketch x365.

AHAHAHHAHAHA

Yeah it seems now that the pressure is off, we've gone right back to being lazy and sl-- I mean careful and quality oriented. I haven't even ripped the DVD for the next couple episodes yet so I'm not going to make any promises about when you'll see 13 and 14 but I'll try not to take forever.
Roughy assures me that the typesetting for Hidamari Sketch x365 will be done "in the next few days" so maybe we can blow the dust off that project again.

Higurashi no Naku Koro ni Kai 10 (DVD)

With Rei out of the way it's time to crack down on finishing the DVD releases of Kai!

An interesting note is that our original release read a lot like 'All your base' in a few scenes so those were corrected. Actually, they almost *weren't* corrected but we caught them moments before release so enjoy a slightly more grammatically correct script. And just in case you were wondering, pretty much all the scripts for the DVD releases have been changed slightly from the TV releases so if you noticed errors before, they should hopefully be gone now.

Higurashi Rei DVD and Blu-Ray Batches - V2

Surprise!!!!!!

We kinda *cough* fu*ked some things up in the DVD Ep 1 kara and the DVD and Blu-Ray Ep 5 script. If you've already downloaded the batch torrent from before, make sure to note that b/c of Tokyotosho's structure (blarg,blarg,blarg) we had to change the directory name. They're basically the same as before, except instead of the part that says [DVD] and [BD-720p] it's now [DVD v2] and [BD-720p v2]. Anyhoo.... I really can't stand making blog posts, so this is gonna be short.

Now, we've made something called xdelta patches. Whatcha do is, if you already have the files, you can download each .zip file, extract the contents to the directory where you already have the video files, and then run the file that has the extention .bat and it automagically creates the new video file for you. Higurashi Rei episode 5 (DVD and HD) - OWARI

We're a couple months late but this was still our fastest project in recent years!

First of all, many thanks to some folks in ##mahjong as well as Basaka for giving us a hand with some of the terminology this episode. That part of the episode is actually what held us up for an extra month.

Keep in mind that the Rei story arc ended with episode 4 so this time is just a fun half hour much like the first episode. Will Rena successfully take someone home? Check it out and enjoy our simultaneous DVD and HD release!
