G'day all.
First order of buisness s to welcome Level-E to the team as our new Translator.
He's agreed to help sub Higu series 2, and also to sub Lucky Star in the interim.
As a result, we'll be picking up both of these series.
Also, the School Days anime will be airing from July (at the same time as Higurashi). A few members of the group (myself included) are highly interested in this series, so it is highly likely that it will find itself amongst our releases.
Anyone who wishes to apply to help out with any of these series in any capacity shoudl either contact me via PM, or post in the "Position Openings" forum.

Hi, I don't know where else to post, but I'm the poor one who has sold my soul over to Crud and the WIND crew.
As Crud said above I'll be TL Higu 2 and Lucky☆Star. I am Japanese (born in the USA) so I hope my TL skills will be satisfactory. I am a major manga freak btw ^^;
Looking into School Days, I'm interested but I don't think I can devout the time to TL two series while going to work and school. I'll definitely help proofing it, and pick-up if the translator is not able to for one reason or another.

I'm late to the party but I just wanted to say I'm glad WinD decided not to pursue School Days. That was the biggest downward spiral of events I've seen and I almost gave up on it after a few episodes. School Days contained the most irrational characters in any series that had me shaking my head in disbelief most of the time.
In other words... I thought the show stunk on ice, just my opinion though.

I acutaly quite liked School Days becuase it did what it set ut to do; it made you feel bad.
A lot of people pay it out, blaming irrational characters and so forth, but (save for the beautiful yandereness at the end) I found that the main reason it irked people is because it seemed to be written in accordance with reality... to a degree... if that makes sense.
Sure, everyone wanted to punch Makoto and so forth, but by making you want to punch him, isn't it achieving its goal?

Honestly, I never read anything about it before watching it so any direction the story went was unexpected for me.
But, it wasn't so much him but the girls. I just can't imagine that many women being that stupid and they all had the "I've always liked you." line. So, even though I hated Makoto, some of the blame goes to the girls' (practically the schools entire female population) lack of common sense. Then it was just out of control which was just too crazy for me to enjoy after about 2 episodes but I watched it anyway mainly because I might as well finish something I started.
That's why I got a kick out of the School Days Valentine OVA that poked a little fun at itself and the end was a good surprise laugh

Just asking... Any plans for Umineko no Naku Koro ni and/or possibly even the Higurashi live-action version?

I'm going to watch both of them.
Not quite sure if we'll ahve a willing team for either though.
THen again, I haven't even been in the staff channel for 3 days due to work.
